The main setting within the Shut Down music video is in a school, which relates to My Teenage Girl.

At the very beginning of the music video, there is a box in the hall way of the school, relating to pandoras box.

Pandoras Box: "Unbeknownst to her, Pandora’s box was filled with evils bestowed by the gods and goddesses, such as strife, disease, hatred, death, madness, violence, hatred, and jealousy. When Pandora was unable to contain her curiosity and opened the box, all of these evil gifts escaped, leaving the box almost empty."

The next scene is a transition from the girls starting an Instagram Live stream and then transporting through the phone where the next scene is a bird eye view of the school, where it then zoomed out another time to show the whole Earth. This could suggest that the box at the beginning was not in the current world as CLASS:y. The phone/camera could have been how CLASS:y teleported to another universe. Once the box had opened, CLASS:y had then arrived at the universe of the box suggesting that the box is the cause of the zombies also.

Near the beginning, Jimin is seen reading a book called '7 Steps to SURVIVING: SURVIVING an Apocalypse' this could relate to the 7 members being the only contestants surviving during the survival show. However, a CLIKE:y on Twitter mentioned that the scene is similar to a scene from 'All Of Us Are Dead'

Boeun is seen live streaming again on Instagram, with many of the comments telling her "THERE IS SOMETHING BEHIND YOU". Once Boeun finally notices that the zombies are behind, the phone, while streaming on Instagram Live, has the teleportation effect like it showed earlier when the girls were initially doing an Instagram Live, then it glitches.

During the middle of the music video, Hyeju is jumping over hurdles while the zombies are very close to almost catching her. This could relate to how in My Teenage Girl, Hyeju only reached the Top 7 for the first time during the final episode, debuting with CLASS:y, prior to this, she never reached the Top 7, almost not surviving.

During one of the scenes in the city, it says LEVEL 1 and LIFE 1 this could suggest that this is CLASS:y's first time entering another universe, considering it is their debut.

Towards the end of the music video, Chaewon is also seen jumping over a car, indicating that she may have the Enhanced Leap Supernatural ability. "The user can jump farther than average members of their species. They can leap farther than even the greatest human athlete."

The music video has a content theme around futuristic lifestyle and phones, which phones are also a common concept in the CLASSY music video.
