Kim Seon-you (Korean:김선유 Japanese: ソンユ) is a South Korean singer under M25. She ranked second on the finale of the reality competition My Teenage Girl and thus became a member of the girl group CLASS:y. She serves as the group's main rapper, lead dancer, vocalist and maknae.

Personal Life[]
Seonyou was born on March 20, 2008 in Ponam-dong, Gangneung, Gangwon-do, South Korea. She has an older brother born in 2003 and an older sister born in 2004.
Education[]
She graduated from Hansol Elementary School and attended Hasla Middle School but due to debuting in CLASS:y she transferred to Cheongdam Middle School along with Boeun. In 2023, Seonyou and Boeun took the admission test for Hanlim Multi Art School, she passed the admission test and is currently attending in the Entertainment Department.
Career[]
Pre-debut: Figure Skating[]
Seonyou used to be a figure skater and participated in 2017 and 2018 Figure Skating Winter Games and won various medals in figure skating.[1] During that time, she got interested in dance and joined a dance academy.
2020: CAP-TEEN[]
In 2020, Seonyou appeared on the reality competition show CAP-TEEN as a contestant, but was eliminated in the first round.
2021 - present: My Teenage Girl, CLASS:y[]
Ranks: #5→#12→#6→#5→#7→#1→#1→#2[]
On September 8, 2021, she was featured in the trailer for the show My Teenage Girl, confirming her participation.[2] On the fourth episode she ranked 5th but dropped to 12th place on the seventh episode. But since then, she steadily maintained in the Top 7 and debuted in CLASS:y.
The Second World[]
Ranks: #2→#3→#2→#7→#6[]
In August 2022, it was announced that Seonyou would participate in a new survival show 'The Second World', only after 3 months of My Teenage Girl ending. During that time, she released a new single for the show titled Burinake (NEWTRO Ver.), she was eliminated in the semi-finals, ranking 6th, unable to make it into the final episode.
