Hong Hye-ju (Korean: 홍혜주; Japanese: ヘジュ) is a South Korean singer under M25. She placed 4th on the finale of reality competition show My Teenage Girl and thus became a member of the girl group CLASS:y. She serves as the main dancer, lead rapper and leader of the group.

Hyeju was born on December 9, 2003 in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. She has a sister. She has two dogs called Hyegang and Hyechan. She has been learning dance, taekwondo, ballet, and even rhythmic gymnastic since a young age. She has taken gymnastics classes since she was 4 years old and holds a second-degree black belt in taekwondo

Hyeju graduated from Shinshin Girls' Middle School and Seoul School of Performing Arts (SOPA) in the Practical Dance department and graduated in 2022.

Pre-debut[]
In January 2020, a video of the 11th Practical Dance at SOPA was uploaded onto YouTube, in which Hyeju is present in the video. This video garned over 9.3 Million views as of November 2024. Hyeju appears on the far right [1].
During Hyeju's high school years, she was a backup dancer for CHUNGHA. Because CHUNGHA shined on stage, that was the moment Hyeju dreamed to become a K-Pop Idol. [2]

On September 8, 2021, Hyeju was confirmed as a participant for MBC's new survival show My Teenage Girl. Her rank in the show continued to rise throughout. On Episode 4, she ranked 23rd out of 40 contestants. On the final episode, she ranked 4th with a total of 210,647.9 points, her first time being in the Top 7, as well as allowing her to debut with CLASS:y.
